The following information is on the ball band. "To obtain the best results use two balls of yarn. Simply work two rows with the first ball then two with the second. Continue this sequence throughout the garment to prevent an irregular effect."

This yarn is made by Sirdar - some ball bands may say Sirdar instead of Hayfield but they are the same brand and same quality.
